On the 30th July 2016 we opened our doors exactly 5 years to the day from when we first began Umoja Orphanage Kenya Project (registered in Kenya as Umoja Children’s Village Ukunda). That was special indeed.
Meet our family to date. Our Kenyan staff have done an amazing job caring for our children. We are so proud of them. We are in the process of doing further social enquiries to take in more children into our home. It was really important to us that the staff and children settled in well, rather than overcommit with an intake of too many children and not be able to meet the running costs of the home and the needs of the children.
Zulpha arrived unexpectedly on the 9th February 2017. We are currently undertaking social enquiries to ascertain her age, and background information on this dear little girl. She is approximately 1 year old.
