Easter Appeal

This time next week will be Good Friday, a religious holiday observed by many and a time to get together will family and friends. This Easter, the Umoja team ask you to take a moment with your loved ones to think of those who aren’t so lucky.

The orphan crisis in Kenya can sometimes be an overwhelming thought as the problem can appear too big for any of us to make a difference. But together we can make a difference. Help us spread the word about Umoja Orphanage Kenya by sharing Cathy’s story and goals for the future with your family and friends this Easter break.

While a donation would be a wonderful, there are so many ways that you can help your loved ones support us:

  • Show them our website where they can get more information
  • Ask them to LIKE us on Facebook to follow our progress
  • Encourage them to sign up to our blog and newsletter to stay up to date with our latest news
  • Inspire them to join our Supporter Squad by finding a creative way to fundraise on our behalf
  • Discuss our volunteer trips to Kenya in September 2013 and January 2014
  • Consider getting a table together for our upcoming Annual Gala Dinner in August

If you’re not a big chocolate fan—yes, there are some of us out there—or you are trying to be healthy, you could donate the money you would have spent on Easter eggs towards our latest project. Simply go to http://umojahome.com/kenya/donate and see the ways to donate, including a convenient online option.

We would like to wish you and your families a safe and happy Easter. Together we can achieve the extraordinary.
